Woolly Rhino Jaw | Coelodonta antiquitatis | Siberia

A fossil woolly rhino jaw section from the Siberian Permafrost. The woolly rhinoceros was a large, shaggy-haired rhinoceros that roamed the grasslands of northern Eurasia during the Pleistocene epoch. It became extinct around 10,000 years ago, likely due to a combination of climate change and human hunting.

This is a nice section of lower jaw, collected from the thawing Siberian Permafrost, and features two intact teeth. A nice, medium sized display piece!

The piece comes with an acrylic stand and a small label featuring the specimen name, origin and age.

This is genuine fossil. All the specimens we offer come with a lifetime authenticity guarantee.
