Woolly Rhinoceros Jaw with Tooth | Coelodonta antiquitatis | Siberia

An Ice Age fossil specimen featuring a small piece of upper jaw from a Woolly Rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis), complete with a molar still intact. The tooth rests nicely in the jaw but is loose, so it is possible to carefully remove it and place back into the jaw if desired.

The Woolly Rhinoceros was a large, shaggy-haired rhinoceros that roamed the grasslands of northern Eurasia during the Pleistocene epoch. It became extinct around 10,000 years ago, likely due to a combination of climate change and human hunting.

Comes with an acrylic stand for display and a small label featuring the specimen name, origin and age.
