Edmontosaurus Rib Section

A piece of Hadrosaur (Edmontosaurus) rib from the Hell Creek Formation in Carter County, Montana. This bone was found alongside several other sections of Edmontosaurus rib, offered here is a small section offering nice external and internal bone detail.

The formation where this bone was found, the Hell Creek Formation, was laid down by ancient floodplains in the Late Cretaceous and preserves fossils of Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus, as well as many other well known dinosaurs. Its top, the K-Pg boundary, marks the asteroid impact that ended the dinosaurs.

The fossil comes stored in a display box featuring the specimen name, region it was found, age and a QR code linking to some information about Edmontosaurus (fossil can be removed from the box).
