Tyrannosaurus rex Tooth (juvenile)

A tooth from one of the largest terrestrial predators to ever live, Tyrannosaurus rex. This is a rare example of a tooth from a juvenile animal - it's got some nice enamel and coarse serrations on the mesial edge, as well as feeding wear to the tip.

The tooth comes from the Hell Creek Formation in Carter County, Montana. This formation was laid down by ancient floodplains in the Late Cretaceous and preserves fossils of Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus, as well as many other well known dinosaurs. Its top, the K-Pg boundary, marks the asteroid impact that ended the dinosaurs.

The tooth comes stored in a display box featuring the specimen name, region it was found, age and a QR code linking to some information about T. rex (fossil can be removed from the box).
