Theropod Foot Claw

A theropod foot claw from the Elrhaz Formation of Niger. There's not much published on dinosaurs from this region, but this may be an Eocarcharia claw given its similarity to other Carcharodontosaurid foot claws.

The geological group where this claw was found, The Elrhaz Formation, located in the Ténéré Desert of Niger, is an Early Cretaceous (112 million years ago) sedimentary unit renowned for its exceptional vertebrate fossil record. Composed of fluvial sandstones, mudstones, and conglomerates, it represents a lush, river-dominated floodplain environment with seasonal lakes and abundant vegetation. This formation is famous for yielding Suchomimus tenerensis, a piscivorous spinosaurid, alongside the sauropod Nigersaurus taqueti, crocodyliforms like Sarcosuchus imperator, and diverse fish and pterosaurs.

This is a nice claw with no repairs or restoration.
