Trilobite (Flexicalymene)

A trilobite from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. These are Flexicalymene trilobites and date to the Ordovician period. The one you receive will be of similar size and quality to those pictured - some have repairs but all are good quality with no restoration or compositing.

Trilobites were a diverse group of marine arthropods that thrived during the Paleozoic Era, which lasted from about 541 to 252 million years ago. They were the most dominant group of animals during the Cambrian Period, which marked the beginning of the Paleozoic Era. Trilobites were highly diverse, with over 20,000 different species identified. They varied greatly in size, from a few millimeters to over 70 centimeters long.

Each trilobite comes stored in a display box featuring the specimen name, region it was found, age and a QR code linking to some information about trilobites (the fossil can be removed from the box).
