Theropod Tooth (France)

A rare theropod dinosaur tooth from the Cherves de Cognac, France. It's an incomplete crown but features nice enamel.

The Cherves-de-Cognac area in France, particularly the "Champblanc" site, yields dinosaur fossils from the Berriasian stage of the Lower Cretaceous, around 145–139 million years ago. While not extensively documented, the region has produced notable finds, including theropod teeth and crocodile remains. These fossils provide a glimpse into the Early Cretaceous ecosystems of western Europe, though much about the local dinosaur fauna remains poorly understood due to limited material.

The tooth comes stored in a display box featuring the specimen name, region it was found, age and a QR code linking to some information about theropods (fossil can be removed from the box).
