Large Enchodus Tooth (Sabre-toothed Fish) #06

Description

A large Enchodus fish tooth from the Late Cretaceous of Morocco. Features two neat repairs.

Enchodus was a small to medium sized ray-finned fish, most noteable for the large "fangs" on its upper and lower jaws.  Enchodus were formidable predators, however they themselves were also preyed upon by larger predators such as sharks, mosasaurs and plesiosaurs.

Age: 65-70 million years
