VERY RARE Oligocene Crab - Aschaffenburg, Germany

Description

An exceptionally rare fossil crab from Aschaffenburg, Germany. This crab was collected during roadworks 1980's and dates to the Oligocene. As far as I'm aware, there are only a few references to Oligocene crabs from this region in the scientific literature and I have never seen one offer for sale to date.

This crab is almost complete, featuring lots of nice detail and no repairs.

Size: 3.75 inches (crab at longest length)

Age: 23 - 34 Million Years
