Hemipristis serra Shark Tooth, North Carolina #09

Description

A nice Hemipristis serra shark tooth from the famous (now closed) Lee Creek Mine, Aurora, North Carolina.  This tooth features some good enamel and serrations - it comes from Pungo River or Yorktown Formation and is Miocene/Pliocene age.  Comes labelled and stored in an acrylic case with padding.

Condition: Very Good

Size: 17mm (longest length)

Age: 2.5 - 22 Million Years (Pliocene/Miocene)
