Allosaurus

Allosaurus was first described by the famous palaeontologist Othniel Charles Marsh in 1877. It lived 155 - 145 million years ago during the late Jurassic period and was a large bipedal predator with a sizeable skull equipped with dozens of razor sharp teeth. With its powerful hindlimbs and a heavily muscled tail, Allosaurus likely preyed upon the large herbivors that shared its environment, such as Stegosaurus, ankylosaurs and sauropods.
