MASSIVE Pachychephalosaurus Skull Node (Hell Creek) - 3.13 inches

Description

A massive Pachycephalosaurus skull node from the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.

Pachycephalosaurus is famous for having a large, boney dome atop its skull which was surrounded by a variety of spikes and nodes. The spikes were particularly pointed in juveniles but flattened and rounded as the animal matured. The size of this skull node suggests it came from an adult Pachycephalosaurus.  This node was found in one piece and is well preserved, dense and heavy for its size.  It features some nice bone detail and no repairs or restoration.
