Mammal Incisor Tooth (Hell Creek Fm.) #07

Description

A mammal incisor from the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.  This tooth comes from a mammal which lived at the end of the Cretaceous period and shared its habitat with dinosaurs such as T. rex and Triceratops.  This was still a time when dinosaurs dominated the planet, tiny mammals such as these living in their shadow.

Please note, this is a micro-fossil and the tooth is exceptionally small (the pictures were taken with a macrolense and are magnified).  Comes labelled and stored in a gem jar.
