Mesodma Multituberculate Mammal Tooth (Hell Creek Fm.) #02

Description

A Mesodma multituberculate mammal tooth from the Hell Creek Formation of Montana.  Mesodma lived at the end of the Cretaceous period and shared its habitat with dinosaurs such as T. rex and Triceratops.  This was still a time when dinosaurs dominated the planet, tiny mammals such as Mesodma living in their shadow.

Please note, this is a micro-fossil and the tooth is exceptionally small (the pictures were taken with a macrolense and are magnified).  Comes labelled and stored in a gem jar.
