A rare British Cave Hyaena Canine from Tornewton Cave, South Devon. British hyaena fossils are very rarely offered up for sale, and this one is in great condition. About Tornewton Cave: Investigation at Tornewton Cave began again in 1944, initially on a very small scale, but continuing intermittently until the early 1960s. Finds have included a substantial Pleistocene fauna, one deposit reportedly yielding over 20,000 hyaena and more recent excavations uncovered a further 1300. |
