Majungasaurus

Majungasaurus was a theropod dinosaur that lived in Madagascar during the Late Cretaceous period, roughly 70-66 million years ago. It was a medium-sized predator, reaching lengths of up to 23 feet.

One of the most interesting things about Majungasaurus is that it is believed to have been a cannibal. Evidence for this comes from the discovery of Majungasaurus bones in the stomach contents of another Majungasaurus. While it's possible that this individual was simply scavenging on the remains of a dead fellow dinosaur, the presence of Majungasaurus bones in its stomach suggests that cannibalism may have been part of its diet.

Majungasaurus had a distinctive skull with a bony crest on top. This crest may have been used for display or to help regulate body temperature. It also had powerful jaws and sharp teeth, making it a fearsome predator.

Majungasaurus is an important example of the diversity of dinosaur life in Madagascar. It provides valuable insights into the ecosystems that existed on this island during the Late Cretaceous period.
