A Mesodma mammal tooth from the Hell Creek Formation. This mammal was a multituberculate, an extinct taxon of rodent like mammals that existed for roughly 166 million years. This little mammal lived in the late Cretaceous, just prior to the KT extinction event, and would have shared its environment with dinosaurs such as Triceratops, Edmontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex.
This is a nice little tooth and comes labelled and stored in an acrylic case with padding.
